Every generation is influenced by its own culture ,
(environmental culture=the customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements and shortcomings of a particular nation, people, or other social group.),
but God is calling every generation to be a generation of righteousness.
π₯ *Righteous Generation*
Every Generation, for God — From Reels to Real Life
Key Text:
"Romans 12:2 - "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind."
*Key Idea*
The world wants to mold every generation into its own image, but God wants every generation to be transformed into His will.
We are not just Generation Z, Generation Alpha, or Millennials;
We are God's generation — called to be God's generation.
Psalm 24:6 - "This is the generation of them that seek him..."
1️⃣ *Generation/Follower* :— Whom are you following?
There are different generations in the world today:
- Silent Generation: Silent Generation
Approximately 1928–1945
- Baby Boomers: Baby Boomers
Approximately 1946–1964
- Generation X: circa 1965–1980
- Generation Y/Millennials: circa 1981–1996
- Generation Z: circa 1997–2012
- Generation Alpha: circa 2013–2024/25
- And new generations are coming forward.
But the real question in God’s Word is not:
“Which generation do you belong to?”
The real question is:
“Who are you following?”
“Exodus 23:2
‘You shall not follow a crowd to do evil.’
That is, do not do wrong just for the sake of it.
Today, social media has taken compression, competition, and influence a step further.
We are the people:
- Who has the most followers?
- Whose reel went viral?
- Whose lifestyle looks better?
- Who has the most money?
Who is more famous?
But God says:
"What are you looking at?"
"Who are you following?"
"What is your heart being influenced by?"
Psalm 101:3 - "I will set no evil thing before my eyes..."
"Proverbs 4:23 - "Keep your heart with all diligence; for from it flow the issues of life."
"1 Corinthians 15:33 - "Evil conversation corrupts good morals."
π± Reels or real?
We are doing a lot of Reels today, but this question:
Is our real life like that too?
Smile on social media, but sadness in the heart,
You can have an online relationship, but not real love.
Followers can be with you, but there can be no relationship with God.
Jesus' popularity, not seeking discipleship
"Luke 9:23 - "If anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."
2️⃣ *Generation of Diligence*
Generation of Diligence: — Not laziness, hard work!
A big challenge for today's generation is:
Instant success!
We want:
Quick results, quick money, quick fame, quick success.
But the Bible teaches us discipline, diligence and patience.
"Proverbs 10:4-5"
The hand of the diligent makes rich.
And:
"He who gathers in the summer is a wise son..."
God says:
Do not sleep during the harvest!
"Proverbs 6:6-9"
"Go to the lazy ant, consider its ways and be wise."
The ant has no boss, no supervisor, no one to encourage it
Yet he:
- Plans,
- Works on time,
- Stores for the future,
- Does not waste the harvest season.
Learning to discipline the seed of goodness
πΌ Work with your hands.
The Bible holds labor in high regard
«1 Thessalonians 4:11-12»
"...Work with your hands..."
"2 Thessalonians 3:10"
"If anyone does not work, let him not eat..."
"Colossians 3:23"
"And whatever you do, do it with all your heart, as to the Lord God..."
*Job/Business:*
Today's generation needs:
"Education + Skills + Hard Work + Honesty + Faith"
Learn Self-Financing Skills:
--.Freelancing
- Digital Skills
- Online Services
- Content Creation
- Graphic Design
- Web Development
- Digital Assets & Marketing
- AI Skills
But remember:
Skills can give you income; character gives you credibility.
3️⃣ *Instant Gratification* ⃣ - or *Holy Consistency!*
Today's world wants us to be instant gratified.
One click → result
One reel → entertainment
One message → attention
One purchase → encouragement
But spiritual life doesn't work that way.
The kingdom of God is built on consistency.
"Galatians 6:9"
"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap..."
In due season!
That is, not everything is instant.
"Psalm 1:2-3"
A man who delights in the law of the Lord and meditates on it day and night is like a tree that:
"By streams of water"
First the root takes root, then the growth, then the fruit Fruit.
Root → Growth → Fruit
We want fruit, but we don’t want to take root.
We want blessings, but not Bible teachings...
We want favor, but we don’t want to be faithful?
We want a harvest, but we don’t want to sow seeds.
“Proverbs 21:5”
“The thoughts of the diligent tend only to abundance; but everyone who is hasty tends only to want.”
Shortcuts are not always the solution.
Walking with God:
Patience is part of faith.
“Hebrews 10:36”
“For you have need of patience…”
“Isaiah 40:31”
“Those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength…”
Say:
“I can wait for God’s timing.”
“I can still be faithful.
When no one is looking."
"When God has given me a task, I don't need shortcuts."
4️⃣ *Fake* Love...to... *True* Love...
Today's generation is fighting another battle:
Emotional Dependency
Making someone's attention your identity.
Conditional Relationships
"If you give me this, accept me."
Online Manipulation
Fake Profiles, Fake Promises, Fake Relationships, and Emotional
The Net.
The Bible says:
"Proverbs 4:23"
"Keep your heart with all diligence..."
And:
"2 Corinthians 6:14"
"Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers."
We are not to reject every relationship,
but to understand it.
"Attention is not love.
"Attraction is a relationship."
A follower is not a friend.
"There is no such thing as an influential role model.
And most importantly:
Don't give your identity to any man.
Your true identity is in God.
"1 John 3:1"
"See what love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God..."
π*Beware of heretical *religious manipulation*
It's not just the world that deceives us.
Sometimes religious truth can also be misrepresented.
The Bible says:
"Acts 17:11"
The Bereans heard Paul, but:
"Searched the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so."
This is a very powerful principle:
Listen - but search.
Hear - but test.
Receive - but test.
"1 John 4:1"
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. ..."
"1 Thessalonians 5:21"
"Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good."
That is why Bible reading, interpretation, or research is essential.
If you don't know the Bible:
Everything may seem true to you.
Every character may influence you.
But when you know the Word, you can distinguish between truth and deception.
"John 8:32"
"And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
5️⃣ *The world*rejects* Christianity* - but we do not reject Christ
Today, if a young person follows Jesus Christ, he may be told:
"You are old-fashioned."
"Everyone does."
"Why are you different?"
But Christ never said:
"Follow the flock."
Christ said:
"Matthew 7:13-14"
"You are strait" Enter through the door…”
The world’s pursuits are not always easy and popular.
Righteousness is sometimes a journey through loneliness
But:
Popular does not always mean right.
Majority does not always mean true.
Viral does not always mean valuable.
“1 Peter 2:9”
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people…”
Look, God said:
A chosen generation!
You are not just a generation of the world
You are a chosen generation.
π₯ *Generation Z!*
Where are you, Generation Z?
Where are you?
You are not on a screen!
But,
In the presence of God!
You are not just after trends—
After the truth!
You are not someone’s follower—
A follower of Christ!
You are not just viral—
Valuable
You are just successful No—
Faithful!
You are not just famous—
You!
Resultant!
π *God* is *looking* for a generation.
That will say;
“We will not compromise!”
“We will not follow the crowd in evil!”
“We will renew our minds with the Word!”
“We will not waste our time!”
“We will work hard!”
“We will learn to wait!”
“We will recognize God’s love instead of fake love!”
“We will “test” every teaching (heresy) by the Scriptures”!
“We will walk in the world, but not be conformed to the world!”
“Philippians 2:15”
‘That you may be blameless and harmless, children of God… among whom you shine as lights in the world.’
π *Generation after generation*
God’s plan is not limited to today’s generation.
"Psalm 78:4"
"We will not hide them from their children, praising the Lord to the next generation..."
And:
"Joel 1:3"
"Tell your children about them, and they will tell your children's children..."
Faith must be passed down from generation to generation.
Grandparents → Parents → Young Adults → Generation Z → Generation Alpha
Each generation must give something to the next generation.
Not just technology and
not just money or
not just education, but
give them faith.
give them scripture.
give them character.
give them Christ.
π *Final Call* - "I will be that generation!"
The question today is not:
How old are you?
The question is:
What is your direction?
Who are you following?
What are you watching?
What are you learning?
Who are you walking with?
Where are you spending your time?
Who is your heart set on?
«Joshua 24:15»
"As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."
Today from us:
"As for me, I will serve the Lord!"
Not following the crowd
Not following the culture
I don't make every trend a standard.
My standard is the Word of God
My identity in Christ,
My future in God's hands,
And my generation…
π₯ A generation of *righteousness*!
«Isaiah 59:21
"My Spirit who is upon you… shall not depart… from henceforth and forevermore."
Psalm 112:2
"His descendants will be mighty on earth: blessed is the generation of the righteous."
*Announcement*
We are not just a digital generation.
We are going to pray.
